The holiday season is upon us, which means it’s time for family and friends to be inside your house…all the time…making messes…
Here are some tips from our cleaning techs to make your home safe and sparkly this season:
While this might be obvious, use stainless steel cleaner on your stainless steel appliances. It brings out the shine that most other products won’t and disinfects that surface better and longer than a regular disinfectant. It’s great for your refrigerator, dishwasher, sinks, faucets, toilet handles, doorknobs, kitchen appliances, and more!
Wipe your mirrors and glass left to right and up and down, not in circles. This will remove spots and eliminate streaks from the cleaner, not to mention the extra cardio. A microfiber cloth will help remove dust from collecting on it while it’s drying.
Use Bar Keeper’s Friend or Comet on porcelain toilets and sinks. They clean AND polish, leaving your john odor-free and shiny. Wipe it down after with a wet cloth for some extra SPARKLE and to avoid residue.
Regularly dust your picture frames and TV screens. It will make a difference over time. Use a technology-safe wipe on your TV and computer screens, it will protect your screen from dust and glare and won’t ruin the quality.
A good hardwood cleaner like Murphy’s Oil is a great way to polish your real hardwood. It can restore shine, repair wore-down polish, and even fix small scratches in furniture! When using on floors, make sure to follow up with a damp cloth, so the floor doesn’t become sticky.
Go over recently cleaned surfaces with a dry microfiber cloth. This removes dust, residue, and really brings out that sparkle that would otherwise be dull.
Leave a candy dish out on your table. It really makes the people in your home happy, which is what this time of year is all about!
